The LXE Marathon runs on a Windows 7 operating system and is fully capable of running the RedBeam software while also having the ability to scan the barcodes from the assets directly, effectively merging the hand held computer with the PC workstation, which will help to cut cost. If a separate USB scanner is desired then it is able to be connected to the Marathon also.

To complete the mobility solution a Zebra P4T portable barcode label printer from Zebra Technologies can be used to print the labels for the assets as needed within inches of the actual item being tagged. Because the
Zebra P4T uses thermal transfer print technology the labels printed can be as durable as you need them to be. You can print anything from paper to Polyurethane using the correct ribbon.
